Next-Gen.biz: PS3 in September 2006, online service called PlayStation HUB
Next-Gen.biz has an exclusive scoop saying we can expect the PlayStation 3 in September 2006 both in the U.S. and Japan. They're also reporting that Sony will launch an online game service, modeled on Xbox Live and called PlayStation HUB. While the writer, Colin Campbell, doesn't make this clear, I'd guess that the two will launch together. While he says he has good sources, we might as well consider this a well-sourced rumor.

The article has no details on what matters commercially other than launch date: pricing of console, pricing of online service, and selection of games. I'm steeling myself for a shockingly high number for the first two and a shockingly low number for the third.
